DFI-Geisler looks after our natural resources by reusing building, construction and industrial waste in new contexts. We are also continually developing new recycling methods.
After studying for some time, a variety of options for recycling waste and products remaining after the manufacturing process, we decided on a water recycling facility, which was commissioned in June 2020.
The system includes a buffer tank with a capacity of 17,000 litres. This means that we can recycle most of the water from our cutting tools in the stone department, and we are able save the equivalent of the water consumption of 100 households every year!
This does not merely benefit the environment; it has a favourable impact on our bottom line.
However, our ambitions do not stop there. Our aim is to reduce the current water consumption of our cutting tools in the stone department by at least 80%.
